 Chuy's Mexican Food

Gosh I adore this place! It has such a great atmosphere and I love the decorations. If we are ever in a big city, where there is a Chuy's, we almost always go there. I always get the kids quesadillas, add chicken, substitute the french fries for rice. And lots and lots of tortillas before the meal! GOSH SO DELICIOUS!! :D

Pei Wei 

Mhmmmm. This place is the best Chinese food ever. I love it! And i've gotten pretty good at using the chop sticks, just saying! lol. My family and I always get an appetizer, either the lettuce wraps, or the crab wontons which happen to be Ahhhhmazing. Then I order the sweet and sour chicken plate with white rice, and I split the chicken with my sister. My favorite part is probably the warm pineapple.. mmm. Lastly, I'll eat my fortune cookie! :)

Sometimes I just make things awkward. Like I say random junk or I say stuff in the wrong order in the most crucial times. Like when i'm around someone I want to impress or am in front of a bunch of people. And I sometimes don't know how to respond to when someone is sarcastic to me, like I dont know if they are joking, or I don't know how to be funny back. I am not naturally funny.  Gosh its so awkward and I hate it.

 Also I don't know how to stand up for myself sometimes. It depends on the situation and who the person is, but normally I just can't express when someone hurts me to their face. Idk why, i'm trying to learn how but sometimes its just hard.. : /

Today I woke up and went to my college government class.

Next I went up to the high school to check in. Since it is TAKS week, there is no school for us seniors! Yippee!! 

Then I went with my mom on a good walk, and did some stuff at my house. 

At 12:00 I went to Steve's for lunch with my buddies! Steve's is the traditional, have-to-go place when we are out of school!

Then I came home and did some more stuff, and then went to a dentist appointment... No cavities... yet :/haha

Now i'm home doing some more stuff that I have to get done, and then at 5:40 i'm going tanning! 

So that's pretty much today! April 26, 2011 :)

Birthday Post :)

yep.. I'm interrupting my 30 day challenge, for this special report on my birthday! Yeah today was just so amazing! I could not have asked for a better birthday! :) Let me just warn you now... this might be a longs post, so stop now, it will not hurt my feelings! ;) basically I want to document what all happened today while it's fresh on my mind! Really I just want to remember this day later for my own benefit, so really... don't feel obligated to read the whole thing ;)

Ok so this morning I woke up pretty early for the NHS teacher breakfast. The first person to wish me a happy birthday was Jordan Cavitt, who sent me the sweetest text ever (no like really it was amazing) wishing me a happy birthday right when the clock struck 12! So i got that this morning and it woke me up with a smile! Next i checked facebook and I already had a few birthday posts, and this was a 6:15! Sheldon Stone was the first person to wish me happy birthday via FB! aww.. lol. Then my mom came in and wished me a happy birthday! :)
After the NHS teacher bfast, I came home real fast and found a note Jordan had left on my car... another birthday wish, plus a birthday sign to wear, AND a birthday playlist! omg that was just so sweet and cute... I almost died because the very first song was Happy Birthday sung by Nick Jonas... to me.. no one else... mm let me just say.. I love me some Nick Jonas <3.
Next, I had to go to economics and take a test.. BOOOO! and i did NOT do very well.. but you know what, I didn't care, I wasn't gonna let that ruin my day what-so-ever! Then I got to school and received some more sweet happy birthdays! I even wore my sign that Jordan made! Then in art 4th period, Jordan, Kensey, Aranda, Megan, and Payton surprised me with a party! We had bfast casserole, piggies in a blanket and juice and brownies! delicious and so unexpected... "we didn't tell you caitlyn? we are having and earth day party!"... haha whatev! Next was lunch and the whole table sang me happy birthday and I gave out cupcakes to all my buddies! yayyy :)
Then, for pharm tech, I had to go to the hospital to take a drug test.. a pee test! Not fun, I will leave it at that. lol. Next, I went and saw Michelle's precious newborn baby kittens! they were so cute! :) then I tanned... Then Jordan came over and gave me my birthday present and I was WONDERFUL! She got me some great stuff but most of all i love the bracelet she got me, its Betsey Johnson and it has ballerina shoe on it.. cause its like my hidden dream to be a ballerina! lol! Then we played some just dance 2, watched some youtube vids. And then went to Chili's with the fam! Yummm! We opened presents there, and I got some clothes, a curling iron, a big dorm mirror, other things, and some flip flops i didn't think i was getting! so great! :)
Last we can home and had cake! which was a segregated cake, as we called it.. cause half was white icing and half was chocolate.. it was funny looking! :)
Over all it was a fantastic birthday... really is was just so special! i wish i could write down and remember all the sweet wishes people told me! The "happy birthday"'s and "have a great day"s, and facebook posts really mean so much to me, even more than presents. Ahhh such a great day! I will post pictures soon hopefully!

Day 11!

When I lived in Lampasas as a middle schooler....

This was a tough time for me because I was young and unstable, and didn't know who I was. I had never been the new kid, and it was hard going to a place where everybody grew up with each other. I felt like an outsider. Now looking back that experience has made me stronger and given me a heart for those who are new in any situation.. I know how it feels. I don't regret that time cause I did meet some really cool people that I still keep in touch with today. I just think that at that age, I didn't have enough self-confidence to handle that. Now that I know who I am and I am confident in myself I would be able to go through a move much much more easily.

Favorite Activity

 Well other than being with friends and family... Cheerleading! :) I love being a cheerleader. Words can't describe how much cheerleading means to me and has done for me. It has given me confidence and has provided me with so many great opportunities. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with the abilities to be a cheerleader.

I have many favorite colors but this is one of my absolute favorites, especially for spring and summer!

I love this color on anything, clothes, jewelry, purses, makeup, you name it!

Favorite animal: Dolphin! 

Ahhh I love dolphins, they are so adorable and they seem like such happy creatures!

I dream of swimming with dolphins sometime in the future (hopefully soon!)

Caitlyn's 30 Day Challenge!

Mmm, so yea I really wanted to get in on this 30 day picture challenge thing cause it seems like so much fun! I didn't really want to do the same one everyone is doing so i made up my own! haha :) it still has some of the basic questions as before, but with a couple new ones! this will just be a fresh new take on the 30 day challenge! those of you currently doing the 30 day challenge keep it up, and maybe sometime in the future, if you feel like it, you can do this one! :D sooo here it is... Happy April!

Yipee! Its April! One reason why I love April is that its my birthday month!!! yep on the 25th I turn 18! wow! :D this should be great month, and in fact it already has been great! sooo here comes some of the most exciting news ever..................
well, I tried out for cheerleader at Hardin Simmons University, and I made the squad! :D :D I cannot express how much this meant to me... yea, i cried when i found out.. lol. I am so excited. And this did finalize my decision for college, so I will be attending HSU this fall, Go Cowboys!
Coming up this month I also have HOSA! yea i've been meaning to do a post on what HOSA is so yeah, ill explain that in the future!
hm... also i'm going to a wedding this weekend!
and... my house currently smells like smoke because my mom left some chicken cooking and it caught fire and filled half our house with smoke. its terrible.
and.... I am finally caught up with glee!
and... this is really random. its like catch-up day at school except with my blog! lol.
oh and i have surprise coming up!! hehehe its gonna be fun. I may not be able to contain my excitement so i may have to post it early, we'll see!

eeek! SENIOR PICTURES!

Hola mis amigos! :)

Last Wednesday and yesterday (saturday) I got together with Becky and she took some senior pics for me!! oh boy it was so much fun and Becky did a fantastic job! I love her so much! We went all around town both days and took many shots in different outfits! Most of the pictures were happy and "seniorishh", but sometimes i'd bring out my "model" poses and work it! BAHA, thats right! I'm am so so so so very pleased with how all the pictures turned out. Plus Becky edited some and they are even better! :D now i'm working on putting together my graduation announcement! It's gonna be so hard to choose! All in all I had an amazing time and the pictures, in my opinion, are stunning! thanks so much becks:) Here are some of my favorite shots.. ps: you have NO idea how hard it was to choose just a few.

busy busy bee!

Well it has been to long since my last post! I have been so busy! So here my latest update on life!

hmm... Well today is cheer tryouts! Not for me, but for the upcoming girls. This is what has occupied my time for the past week! We've been teaching,  critiquing, and getting the girls prepared for try-outs today in front of the judges. Its funny cause I'm not even trying out and I still get nervous! haaha ohhh boy. its is a relief, but its sad... cause after Friday I will not be a Brownwood High School cheerleader! :( :( :( :( anyways i dont want to talk about that any more.... lol.. Leading tryouts is really fun, especially since tonight we get to watch, and eat yummy food! :)

Also I have started the purpose driven life with Courtney as my partner!  :) its really great! One recent chapter I read really hit me. It was a about worship. One statement was "worship is not for you, its for God." How many times do we say "oh worship didn't really move me today" or "I couldn't really get into worship today" (in this case worship meaning music)??? It shouldn't matter about what you feel, the purpose of worship is to tell GOD how amazing he is! Basically its a time to shower God with complements and thanksgiving! :D  I'm really excited to continue with this book!

Oh and I darkened my hair!! everyone thought I dyed it, but really my stylist just put this conditioner stuff on it and let it sit for like 5 minutes, and it turned out pretty dark! I like it a lot!

Lastly.. PROM! :) yipppeee! everyone is getting ready for prom! The theme his year is Paris! I ordered a dress the other day and I can't wait till it comes in! I'm real excited cause I am actually gonna change some things about it! I think i'm gonna post a picture of my entire outfit once I get everything :) yay!

Well that's about it for now! I want to do another one of those lists of random things i'm obsessed with soon! Look for that in the future! ;)

Better late than never!

wowww. So I have totally been LAZY and have not posted in ages! I really miss it! :( but yea I have just been putting it off, but now i'm back! Well a lot of stuff has gone on, but i'm not going to even try to sit here and remember it all, so I am just going to continue on with what's happening now!
Well it is spring break and I literally just got back from my trip! Here is a recap! :)

Saturday: Ah.. the weekend, spring break had not really set in yet... My family and I left for "the armpit of Texas" at around 9 am. The reason my parents chose to go to this area was because it was were my dad grew up and we had not been there in ages! Also they wanted us to do some random things.. haha. Anyways so we set off on the long drive. On the way, we stopped in Aggieland for lunch at Rosa's. Then my whole family freaked out b/c there was a Ben & Jerry's ice cream store, which I had never seen! I got triple caramel chunk, and boy was it good! We continued on to Beaumont where we met my dad's old buddy and his girlfriend. We talked with them, and then met more family friends for dinner at a Cajun place. Yuck. I don't like fish so this did not go over so well, I even got a steak and it was not good. Though I did try alligator which was actually ok! lol

Sunday: Me and my mom and our girl friends from Beaumont went shopping. I didn't really get much cause I am trying to save :( lol. We then ate lunch at a great burrito place called Geo's followed by some more shopping. Then that night we gathered with more friends to eat at Pei Wei, my favorite! :)

Monday: Me and my mom went prom shopping! Or at least tried to.. the prom store we went to was not that great, bummer. We ate Jason's Deli for lunch, went to the James Avery store, and did some more shopping. Then.... Caroline and I did this really weird thing at the mall. Basically you get in these giant balls (kinda like the balls that hamsters run in except they are plastic) that float on water and you just run and jump around inside them.. it was really cool! Then that night we went over to friends' house and had take home Chicken E!

Tuesday: We got up and left Beaumont for Houston. On the way there we stopped at the San Jacinto Monument which is the historical site where Texas actually won it's independence from Mexico. It's cool cause its the actual land were the troops fought Santa Anna for Texas' Independence! Then after arriving in Houston, we met up with some friends and visited and went to Chuys! yummmmyyy! Finally we finished the day at my dad's cousin's place were we spent the night.

Wednesday (today): We started our tip back to the wood! We first went the Katy Mills mall (which is ahhmazing) to look at some prom dresses for me... and I found about 2 that I want, but can't decide on! So we did that and looked around the mall for a little bit, then ate lunch at Fuddruckers. Next, we went to Brenham were we went to the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory for a tour! It was so fun, probably my favorite part of the trip! We saw how the it was made, and got free ice cream! yay!!! After that we basically began the last leg of our trip home.. about 5 hours!! agh! but it wasn't too bad cause I watched 2 movies! lol.

Well that's my trip! It was random, buy fun and relaxing! I love spending time with my family! Anyways, I'm not going to put off blogging anymore.... hopefully ;)       
Also... a word to my friends.. If you are reading this and have not posted in forever like me.. GET BACK INTO IT!! you know its fun ;) i miss reading your posts!

Valentines Day

HEY! :)
     Well yesterday was Valentines Day, or in my case "Singles Awareness Day"! haha! I know there are alot of people out there who hate Valentines day, but I actually enjoy it alot! I like giving and receiving valentines, eating lots of sweets, wearing pink and red, and telling the people I love that I love them! One really exciting thing that happened to me was I received 2 "crushes", one from my parents, and one from Mrs. Franklin! They were so cute, I got 2 plush lions, candy, and a soda! awwwww.... Also Kensey, Jordan, and I had a great day in art because we were being crafty! We made these precious rings that we sported all day! We have a great time in there making hair accessories, rings, and other random cute stuff!

    Also yesterday we had our "Singles party" and no couples were allowed! lol. We all had a great time eating, playing Just Dance 2, giving out valentines, playing hide and seek, and hitting a pinata! It was great fun! Over all it was a fantastic Valentines day! yayyyy

Fun stuff

Well its been a couple days since my last blog, and the reason I haven’t posted a blog is cause I have actually have be working on this blog! I wrote this blog a week ago for fun and I am just now getting around to updating it and posting it! :))) here it is:

 These are my current obsessions, and/or stuff that occupies my life as of right now! enjoy :)
    -ever since I got a temperpedic pillow (which is ahhhmazing) at Christmas, I rotate between that pillow and my regular one. for some reason I find that odd.. oh well!
    -It’s girl scout cookie season... that is all I want to eat right now... ;)
    -We Doodle is so fun! start a game with me: caitlyncloy
    -One of my new year’s resolutions was to stop drinking sodas. Its hard sometimes to resist :(
    -I LOVE pandora radio
    -I am in 3 college classes. Government. Economics. Intro to Computing (the things I do to get the 30 hour scholarship)
    -I love Habakkuk 1:1-5 because it reassures me that when I feel God is silent, I know that I just have to be patient and He will do something in my days that I would never understand or believe on my own.
    -I’m trying to keep my hair healthier by washing it every other day. (this is not unsanitary! its good for you!)
    -I’m really loving my new NYX lipgloss that is bright pink:D
    -My favorite verses are Philippians 4:8, 1 Corinthians 2:9, Philippians 1:20, and Habakkuk 1:1-5.
    -I’m in a special pharmacy tech class where I get to go work at local pharmacies. I am currently stationed at DOC’s Bwd. ps: it is the best there ;)
    -I really want this wrap bracelet from Humanity... I adore bracelets
    -I am really excited for Super Summer this year. PINK/KHAKI!
    -I really like reading my friends’ blogs
    -Ohhhhh I love the new PINK scent pretty and pure (turquoise cap). I have to find some way to justify that I need it in full size!!!
    -I love my heating blanket. I am cold natured, and I would die without it! lol
    -I am reading New moon right now! Hopefully I can finish all the twilight books before the new movie comes out!
    -My favorite show is GREY’S ANATOMY! And I also watch Genuine Ken on Hulu (it is such a cute show!) Also i’d like the start watching Glee possibly.. lol
    -Baylor!?! :D
    -I’m hoping to rearrange my room soon!
    -I plan to very soon start reading The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. Here is a quick quote: “You were made by God and for God and until you understand that, life will never make sense”
    -Raspberry lemonade from Schlotzsky’s is amazing (thank you Courtney!)
    -I love hello kitty, and I just got HK earrings and I adore them!
    -I can’t wait for the 2nd half to the new Harry Potter movie to come out! I love HP, thanks to Jordan and I’s movie marathon in preparation for the new movie!
    -I currently listen to these songs on repeat lol: C’est La Vie by B*witched, Kiss and Tell by Justin Bieber, The Beat by Ben Rector, and I Wish by The Secret Handshake
    -Mcdonalds has AWESOME cookies and smoothies!

Snow days & HeartBeat

WOW. Texas weather is ridiculous! It is currently 14 degrees outside, and day 2 of coldness/ice/and NO SCHOOL!
Yesterday was awesome because I spent my day off with all my buds! Ah it was so much fun getting together to hang out and enjoy the snow! It has been soooo long since we all have done something together as a big group! We all loved it! We spent the day playing at the park in the ice, (yeah it wasn't really snow, lol) drinking hot chocolate, hanging out at my place, going to eat, and of course wrapping up the day with some seriously needed GIRL TALK!! We all agreed that if that had not happened we would have all exploded as a result of lack of venting! ha!

 

Like I said, today we lucked out and school closed again! :D but, now I hear we have to go to school on graduation... WHAT? yea I don't think any seniors will go to school that day! lol. Well idk whats gonna go down on this snow day sooo... I guess I blog about that when it happens! lol

By the way I have been lazy and have not blogged about HEARTBEAT! Hello! Its was awesome as usual, but this year defiantly stood out as our last heartbeat :( I don't wanna go too long on this subject cause I should have done it separately so this post wouldn't be so long, so hear goes some little random fact on the weekend:) -Boy and girls together in one house! -Ellis our leader was so sweet! -We lost the scavenger hunt :( but we had an unforgettable pep talk from Mat, Sloan, and CJ. -We got in  trouble for being up to late and secretly talking to the boys... merrr. -I, along with Jordan and Chris, was sick and it was miserable cause they had scratchy tissues! -And lastly GOD WAS AT WORK! He really began to work in my life to prepare me for whats to come with entering the real world and going to college! Here is a verse that I read to the group that I really have been leaning on. It assures me that my God knows me and has a prosperous future planned for me!

    "However as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"       1 Corinthians 2:9

A challenge worth taking

So recently in church we have been talking about what we fill our minds with. One thing that has come up alot is music. Tonight at 180 we really hit hard on "what we put in ourself, is what will come out". Garbage in, garbage out. So then during small groups, alot was said about our unclean worship of music. Now I really don't have terrible music on my ipod, but I definitely have music that is not pleasing to God. I think "What would my parents think if they heard these lyrics", or more importantly "Would God be proud that his daughter was listening to this junk?". I tell myself the music won't affect me, that I just like the beat, but really? What happens when I can't get the lyrics out of my head? I want to be proud, not ashamed of the music I listen to.  I want to please God, and I think by cleaning my itunes of music that is hindering, I can better drawn closer to God.  Stuee said: "How can you expect to truly hear from God, when your life is full of things that are shameful and hurting to Him?", and really that is what I desperately want: to hear from God, and to feel him moving in my life. So I have to take a step. Along with other girls in my small group, I am gradually breaking away from all that hinders me. This doesn't mean I can only listen to Christian music, it just means I need to evaluate everything that goes into my ears. Tonight I deleted around 20 songs. That is my first step, in a challenge that will bring me closer to God. I will begin filling my life with things much more satisfying than the things this world values.

Hello everyone, this is a test blog sent directly from my IPhone! :) I am hoping this is going to work so I can use this feature to post from anywhere!! Yippee! Well I am currently at school In the lovely Mrs. Tew's pharmacy tech class!

Okkk so I have to tell this funny story.. Bahha every time I think about it I can not stop laughing! So my friend Kellie asked me if she could borrow an old Ken doll from me for a project, and I said yes. So then today I brought it to school to give to her... Haha, so then at lunch I remembered that I had it in my backpack so I whipped it out!! Omg everyone thought it was so funny that i randommly had this naked Ken doll! The poor doll had no clothes! Bahhaa Everyone at the table was maneuvering the doll into funny positions and waving it over their heads so the whole cafeteria could see it! I was dying laughing... My stomach hurt so bad! Haha to finish it off I left the cafeteria with the doll sticking out the top of my backpack! Ahhhh it was so funny! :D

The joy of a picture!

This is a picture taken of me at the Pence and Panache fashion show by the hired photographer, Amy Zimwalt! When she emailed us letting us know the status of all the pictures, she sent one small collage of about four pictures, and this picture was included!! Ahhhh, I was ecstatic! :) I can't wait to see more. Great job Amy!
